Below are various short how to instructions of features of the Mitel Phone system
Steps for features
Placing a call
- With or without the handset lifted, dial the extension number, if within Earlham, or 8 + Outside Number.
Holding a call
Muting a Call
Transferring a Call

While on the call press the Transfer/Conference button, and then enter the extension number.

Wait for an answer, announce the call, and then hang up.

To transfer directly to voicemail, press the Message key, dial the mailbox number and hang up.
Access Your Call History

Press the Superkey or Applications button
-
Select Call History from the display.
-
Choose Missed, Answered, or Made from the display.

Use page selectors to scroll through the call display
Forward A Call

Press the Superkey or Applications button
-
Select Call Forwarding from the display
-
Enter the number: 8 + Outside Number
-
Select Activate from the display
Placing A Conference Call
-
While on the call, press Transfer/Conference, and then enter the extension number or dial 8 + Outside number.

Wait for an answer, press Transfer/Conference to connect everyone together.
Program an Extension or Feature Key
-
Press the Superkey or Applications button
-
Select Settings from the display.
-
Select Programmable Keys from the display.
-
Press the Key you wish to program.
-
You can view Features or Applications: If you are looking at Applications, there will be a button that says, “view Features”.

If necessary, Press View Features
-
Use the Page Navigation Keys to scroll through the features list
-
Keep pressing Close until you get back to the main screen.
Setting Up Your New Mailbox

Press the Message key.
-
Enter your passcode when prompted.

Follow the prompts to record your greeting

Follow the prompts to record your name.

Follow the prompts to change your passcode.
Change Your Greeting

Log into your Mailbox

Dial 8 for Options
-
Dial 4 for Greetings

Dial 2 for your conditional Greeting

Dial 7 for your Primary Greeting

Dial 4 for your Extended Absence Greeting
Remote Access Voicemail
- Dial your extension/phone number and let it go to voicemail
- When you hear your greeting playing. Press the * key.
- Enter your passcode for your voicemail when prompted.
- You should now have access to all of the voicemail features as if you were standing in front of your physical phone
